Photos from my trip to Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. I was there in May, but finally finding the time to post these pics... It was an amazing, exhilarating and rejuvenating trip. Was much needed for all the changes and life-edits I intended to follow. Woo hoo... already planning my next trip... btw- these photos are unedited and untouched (as always) :D

I have posted a separate video, taken from within the Postojna Caves. These crystal caves are not just a natural marvel, they are true "energy reservoir". Somewhere to visit if you need a quick- higher dimension boost and a reset on life!

Exhilarating and adventurous trek inside a crystal cave... Postojna Caves (Slovenia)

Here is the video of entering Postojna Caves. It is about a short 10 min ride in a buggy "train". I have shortened the video quite a bit, though have tried to keep it's raw, real quality. Temperature drops significantly as we enter these caves and it is just amazing to be inside of a naturally carved "crystal cave". Once in a lifetime experience for sure... Even after all this time, it still puts a smile on my face to see these photographs again! :) I have included a few photos showing the wall details, though, given the low light, it is difficult to capture all the finer details. I have also included couple of links for those interested in learning more about this magnificient place...

My First Crochet Sweater

Crocheting a sweater has always been my dream "craft project" and it feels great to finally achieve the first step. A very large chunky cozy sweater to curl up in, on cold evenings (like today -30°C brrrr...). Feeling a happy sense of accomplishment. Now on to making a nice vest- may be to match this one...

Fun with Art-cards

One of the things that I really want to do this year is to devote more time to art & crafts- particularly painting- those large canvas pieces I used to make. For starters, I have decided to do small art-cards. This is just to get the creative juices flowing- they don't have to be elaborate, but atleast one card each day... something... anything that I would like to express in pictures.This should help me focus more on my Data Visualization book writing.

This is the first one... obviously much decoration is needed- but I like the message :-)

Wonderful Nicaragua

and if Costa Rica was fun, Nicaragua was simply super duper awesome! So much history, geography and the works. Got to visit an active volcano, see one of the largest lakes formed in a previous volcanic crater, enjoy a boat ride in Lake Nicaragua and catch a stork and monkey in some modelling-action and to top it up, visit the medieval city of Granada (built similar to Granada in Spain by the colonial Spaniards) in a horse carriage...

Checking out Coasta Rica

Had soooo much fun in Costa Rica. From watching the sun shimmer on clear waters at noon to beautiful sunsets. Highlight of the trip was learning to ride an ATV and go thru "roads less traveled" and get to see the "real" Costa Rica. Missed out on zipline, but that's now for my next Caribbean trip ;-)

Gorgeous Triangle Shawl

It's so hard to believe that as recent as August of this year, I was checking with fellow crocheter-s in yarn aisle for basic ideas and motivational tips. And now in just two evenings I was able to whisk up this gorgeous triangle shawl!

Now my plan for 2016 is to crochet cardigans and take up my "final craft frontier"- sewing! Sooo looking forward to finally creating works which I have drawn on paper for some time... Amen to many such relaxing, creative and fun evenings...
